— NEW FRACKING, OR FRACCING, STUDY ( August 2014)

CAC has been commissioned by a consortium of European companies to carry out a Study about shale fracking (Hydraulic fracturing) in China. The Study is to define current market status, existing technologies, potential geographical areas for shale gas and oil exploitation, existing and expected regulation framework, current developments, main players, constraints regarding water resource utilization, environmental concerns and advisory road map for foreign companies intending to enter the market in China.

PELL FRICSHMANN selects Shanghai Cardinal Advisors & Consultants (CAC) as its partner for the introduction in China of its novel BGAOprocess, which is based on the advanced catalytic wet air oxidation technology developed by the former British Gas. The BGAO technology provides the most advanced method for the treatment of spent caustic effluents in refineries and chemical plants. As such the process is of immediate interest to China, which is undergoing a massive environmental improvement drive.

CAC will support Pell Fricshmann in the promotional and execution activities to make BGAO the process of choice for the treatment of effluents in Chinese Chemical plants.

— CAC TRAINING COURSES

CAC promotes its training courses to help engineering companies to develop their personnel’s skills.

One of the courses, Pre-Contracts Management Training, is aimed at providing the younger professional stars in our client companies with the overall insight on the commercial aspects of their organization’s operation. It covers Sales Training, Elements of Bidding, Estimating, Risk Assessment and Contract Management.

The course was initially run for Hoogovens Technical Services NV. In China our first client was Aker Solutions, now part of the Jacobs Engineering Group.

A new Training Course entitled Preparation and Delivery of Effective Professional Business Presentations will be offered later this year.
